Emergency fuel frequently asked questions

Mobilization depends on the event and operating locations. Fuel products, quantities, and available supply routes also shape the response. Advance planning helps define what must be activated and reduces the requirements that need to be resolved during the event.

Our experience includes large-scale responses involving multiple assets and fueling locations. The response model depends on site access and delivery requirements, along with available supply and the number of locations involved.

Pre-event planning can establish covered locations and expected demand. It can also define required products, resource needs, and pricing formulas. Payment methods, reporting requirements, authorizations, and escalation contacts can then be documented before activation.

Support can be developed for stationary, backup, and portable generators. It may also cover pumps, heavy equipment, and temporary fuel tanks. Emergency fleets and other approved vehicles or equipment can be included in the response plan.

Depending on the response model, World Fuel can support centralized quoting and secure payment capabilities. Operational data can be captured for reconciliation, billing, and invoicing. Reporting may cover fuel quantities, deployed resources, and response duration.
