In October 2023, World Fuel and Pegasus Airlines finalized a groundbreaking deal. Under this agreement, World Fuel will supply 200 metric tons (MT) of SAF to Pegasus Airlines over the first six months of 2024. The supply covers 1% of Pegasus Airlines’ total fuel requirements. On March 8, 2024, World Fuel delivered the first load of SAF to Pegasus Airlines. The shipment totaled 128 cubic meters (m³) at a concentration of 36.6%, resulting in 47 m³ of neat SAF. World Fuel remains committed to supporting Pegasus Airlines’ sustainability goals, and additional loads are planned for this month and next to ensure a regular supply.
London Stansted Airport (STN) will receive the SAF shipments for Pegasus. By choosing STN as the delivery point, Pegasus Airlines demonstrates its commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. The delivered SAF is sourced from Neste MY Sustainable Aviation Fuel™, a high-quality alternative to conventional jet fuel. Neste’s SAF is produced from renewable feedstocks and significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions.
